Makeup Mistakes No One Wants To Talk About

For all of the beauty mistakes, so many people can definitely relate to them. For instance, to the light of a foundation, big huge brows, and concealer that isn’t blended in. I feel like having this conversation that we are about to have will allow us to really relate to one another because we’ve all had terrible experiences in finding what’s right and wrong and what now works in our makeup routines.

So without further ado, let’s get into it!

Big Eagle Brows

Yes, this is me..

Ugh, these brows are a part of my painful makeup journey and I’m not proud of them at all! I would go crazy with an eyebrow pencil and really overline my brows like lip liner.

Zero Match Foundation

Some of us (including me) have had trouble finding our specific foundation shade or even shades. It took me a while to figure out what works and what not works. I typically would use a foundation that was super lighter than my complexion which made me look very washed out and like a living ghost.

Not Properly Blending ANYTHING

& yes…this is me again…*sigh*🥲

The curse of blending…it’s something that will make or break a makeup look. As you can see in the picture, I wouldn’t properly blend the concealer around and in the middle of my eyebrows. (Super mind boggling that I thought my eyebrows looked super good.)

Thick Eyeliner…Need I Say More?

Eyeliner is a craft that isn’t for the weak at all. To some, it comes easy and for the rest of us, it’s quite hard to do. And for that reason, I never dared to wear eyeliner in public and try practicing it in the comfort of my home. I personally still to this day, don’t own any form of eyeliner due to the fact that I haven’t crafted it.

Excessive Highlighter

I used to get a little highlighter happy and use it so much. I’m not even kidding. I would use a lot of it on my cheeks, nose, and brow bone. And it’s crazy to think that I wear little to no highlighter in any of my makeup looks.

These are just a few of embarrassing makeup mistakes that should stay in the past! What makeup mistakes do you have?
