Do You Know Your Skin Type?

Your skin is special that nobody else has skin exactly like yours. However, in the world of acne and skincare, you still fit into one of the following FOUR categories. This skin type guide will help you understand the characteristics of your particular skin type so you can select the best skincare routine.

DRY
OILY
COMBINATION

1. Dry

If your skin is dry, flaky, and absorbs your favorite moisturizer quickly. Then dry skin might be your category.  And this is because the natural oil output in dry skin is often lower than on other skin types. This might make the skin feel and appear rough or flaky. It typically has a tight sensation, that is obviously dehydrated, and could be more prone to wrinkles.

2. Oily

An overproduction of sebum causes oily skin, which makes the skin feel greasy and look glossy, especially around their T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin). Oily skin types may have fewer wrinkles than people with dry skin, but they may also be more vulnerable to extra large pores, blackheads, acne breakouts and whiteheads.

3. Combination

Combination skin has dry and oily spots, with the T-zone often being oily and the cheeks either normal or dry. Due to a variety of variables, including stress and hormone changes, this skin type can change throughout the year and over different seasons.

4. Sensitive

Your skin may be red and feel dry, itchy, or burning if you have sensitive skin. These signs may be brought on by particular substances, such as dyes or certain orders, as well as climatic influences and may be connected to having skin that is more sensitive to external allergens.

Hey, what about Normal skin?

There is a reason why normal skin isn’t listed her in the skin type guide:

  1. Normal skin tends to be balanced.
  2. Even, smooth skin texture with minimal pores and blemishes.
  3. Doesn’t have specific concerns or conditions.
  4. Requires a minimalistic skincare routine to maintain balance and hydration.

Although individuals with normal skin may be less likely to suffer either four of these, it’s vital to keep in mind that any skin type can still be sensitive or prone to acne outbreaks. But nevertheless, knowing your skin type helps you choose the appropriate products and treatments that will work best for you and your gorgeous skin.
